Gecko Villa is located near the shores of Lake Nong Han in Udon Thani and is set in over 60,000sqm of private grounds comlpete with a walled garden, fish ponds and orchards. Here we grow a large variety of mango, banana, passion fruit and other plants including chillies, papaya, galangal, Thai basil, lemongrass, herbs and more.

The villa consists of several separate buildings which are set around a private garden and linked by wooden verandahs and decks. A private swimming pool set into the deck at the same level. The villa has a large air-conditioned master bedroom with a teak, king-sized bed, en suite W.C. & sink, and adjoining garden shower. It also has its own private verandah with a hammock!. The second bedroom also has a king bed and an ensuite shower/wc. This bedroom is airconditioned and enjoys views over the garden and pool towards the rice fields. A third, fan-cooled king bedroom shares this bathroom with the second bedroom.

The villa has a large air-conditioned living & dining room offering satellite TV (BBC, CNN, TV5 etc.), a DVD/CD player and sound system, and a selection of DVD films and books. Here we have comfortabl water hyacinth sofas and armchairs as well as cotton futons and there is plenty of space to relax. There is a dining area inside as well as outside on our extensive decks.

At Gecko Villa we prepare and serve all your meals for you free of charge and we will also be happy to show you how to make Thai and Isaan dishes. The well-equipped kitchen is separated into a formal Western style kitchen and an open-air Thai kitchen, set on a spacious balcony, where we have barbecues.

Outside, the tranquil private swimming pool is finished in hand-made tiles, in mottled hues of green from celadon to emerald.

The property and grounds are serviced daily and we can arrange for you to experience local life, traditions and activities should you so wish. Should you prefer privacy, just inform us as we are here to make our house your Thai home.
