La Ferme - The Farmhouse is at the end of a winding lane taking you through rolling countryside in south Charente with fields of sunflowers and maize during the summer months. Set in grounds of over 5,000 square meters with a large alarmed shared pool which is in a secluded elevated area overlooking great views. The house has electric heating, double glazed doors and windows. Carefully restored to retain many of its original features and comprises a galleried entrance hall leading well equipped kitchen with log burning stove and a large farmhouse table seating 10. The dining area opens onto the south facing private terrace with uninterrupted views over the fields into the distance. There is patio furniture for al fresco dining and sun beds, mini furniture for young ones and a BBQ. he lounge with 28" satellite TV, DVD player & stereo CD radio, has the original oak beams and open fireplace and doors opening onto the private terrace. There is also a double bedroom with full sized en suite bathroom, bath with shower and cloakroom. Upstairs has a large king sized master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a family room with one double and one single bed, a twin room and a family bathroom.
