Owner's Description
Situated in the Douro valley in the heart of the wine producing area of Portugal's Costa Verde region, the villa is surrounded by vineyards on the traditional stepped sides of the valley. There are fabulous river views and it is a very quiet location. Pinhao, the local village (5km) has a choice of shops but there is a local restaurant and supermarket (600m). While being in a very rural position the house makes a great base for touring the area. For example Peso da Regua (30km) and Vila Real (40km) are very much worth a visit and of course Porto (145km). This recently built house has been decorated in neutral colours and simply furnished for holiday living while still keeping modern day comforts. The living room SAT/TV and open fireplace whilst on the lower floor is a traditional wine press cellar now converted into a meal area with a bar & well equipped kitchenette.
