Naples is the last substantial resort before reaching the Everglades, situated towards the tip of the Gulf Coast at the same level as Fort Lauderdale on the Atlantic. With it's close proximity to the Everglades, a day trip from Naples is a must. The last remaining untouched swamp-land in Florida is a unique habitat and home to much wildlife, be sure to take an airboat ride to spot 'Gators' brooding below the dark swamp waters.
