Puerto Del Carmen is Lanzarote´s main tourist resort that has developed over the years thanks mainly to the fantastic six kilometres of golden sandy beach at its feet.
From Playa Fariones and Playa Grande to Playa Matagorda, right next to our featured Villas Salinas, you are spoilt for choice. With the crystal clear waters and year round agreeable temperatures water sports are abound, including windsurfing, scuba diving and sport fishing. Playa Matagorda in particular is renowned as a great place for windsurfing beginners with tuition and rental of equipment available at the beach.
In addition to beautiful coastline Puerto Del Carmen offers an incredible array of restaurants that scent the air with tempting aromas seemingly all day and night. From traditional Canarian, with wonderful fish dishes, through to Asian and Italian, every taste is catered for and usually to a high standard in most restaurants. Countless bars of every description provide entertainment for the young and lively whilst for the shopper there is no end to the range of goods on offer, from designer clothes to the latest hi-tech tax-free gadgets.
