Split - Markarska

Some 50 kilometres southeast of Split along the coast road with superb views of the island of Brac and mountainous shore is the old town of Markarska. The resort overlooks a pretty bay with cafes, bars and chic boutiques in the historic centre and along a popular seafront promenade. In high season, the atmosphere is lively and cosmopolitan with plenty of al fresco dining. Most holiday properties are set just off the bay facing stone pebble beaches fringed with pine trees for welcome shade.
