Budens
Budens is a small old village between Lagos and Sagres dating back to the 14th century in the Algarve. Taking the road south you pass through Figueira, a typical example of a rural algarve village unaffected by modern day tourism, with narrow winding streets lined with whitewashed cottages and just a couple of restaurants and bars lead you to arrive at the lovely beaches of Salema or Boca Do Rio to name but a couple of the picturesque beaches along this area of the coast. Budens is a great point from which to explore the quiet, unspoilt western Algarve.
