In an idyllic setting on the south coast, the splendour of the limestone cliffs, the fringe of white sand and clear shimmering azure of the sea glimpsed through the pines is simply breathtaking. The crescent of sand gently shelves and is ideal for families with children. In 1994 the beach was awarded the coveted EC 'Blue Flag' for safe bathing and an abundance of watersports are readily available. To complement the picturesque location, the spectacular Algendar gorge cuts through the resort, the various areas of which are then conveniently linked by a series of steps and bridges. This provides a magnificent setting and the most stunning views. The resort has a lively children's water park close to the beach, with its own cafe bar. There are a wide variety of other restaurants and bars and all facilities are close at hand although hire car is recommended. Cala Galdana is bustling and colourful and besides the obvious attraction of the beach there are regular boat trips, mini golf, waterslides plus the resort is ideal as a base for a number of scenic walks.
