Tucked away in the less-visited north-west corner of the island, Cala Morell is without a doubt one of Menorca's most pretty and tranquil resorts. The resort consists of just a few villas and apartments built into the cliffs around the bay and grouped around a deep inlet with its own beach. The main bar and restaurant is perched up on the cliff edge overlooking the bay. The view from here down to the beach and out through the inlet to the sea is quite stunning. Similarly wide sea views are on offer from the charming Trogladites bar/restaurant built into the caves just off the beach access road. The fascinating Cala Morell caves known as the Necropolis are also a popular attraction in the resort. A car is essential here to take advantage of the position near to the beautiful old city of Ciutadella which is just a few kilometres away. Ciutadella has much to offer visitors including a myriad of shops and many wonderful waterfront restaurants along the harbour.
