Cala Ratjada
At the tip of the rugged north-eastern coast, Cala Ratjada is still a working fishing village. A pleasant coastal path leads around the edge of the resort to the pretty harbour and there are many places to stop and watch the colourful boats. In the town itself are a good choice of shops, bars and restaurants amidst the criss-cross of roads surrounding the main square. Dining options range from typical Majorcan cuisine to Italian pizza and pasta. Nightlife revolves around several lively bars and a popular disco frequented by locals as well as visitors. Cala Ratjada is well placed for touring and there are also many nearby bays such as Font de Sa Cala, Cala Agulla and Cala Mesquida which have lovely beaches. Walkers will enjoy a scenic two mile walk east along the coast to the lighthouse.
