Es Grau
Reached through gently rolling farmland from the Mahon road, Es Grau is a perfect example of just how delightful the north east coast of Menorca can be. The village is a genuine working fishing community its special feature being the beach, an unspoilt crescent of fine sand. It shelves very gently making it eminently suitable for children's bathing (although adults will find themselves wading out a fair way in order to swim). The beach is backed by a cluster of whitewashed cottages right at the water's edge. The view across the almost circular bay takes in the Illa d'en Colom, an island lying just off the mouth of the bay where there are two further beaches which you can reach by boat throughout the day.
