Set amongst some of the prettiest scenery on the south coast, yet just a few minutes drive from Palma city centre, Illetas can be somewhat of a revelation to those who may not have previously considered staying on the south coast. The resort contains just a few exclusive hotels and smart private apartments tucked away amidst pretty gardens and pinewoods which fringe the beautiful, rocky south-east facing coastline. There is a small, sandy beach under the cliffs, a few local shops and pretty walks, although the inclines may be too much for some. From here there are lovely views across the bay of Palma and to the Marivent palace home to the Spanish Royal family. Whilst the accent here is on relaxation, there is plenty to do nearby. The Bendinat golf course is a short drive away and the fabulous marina at Puerto Portals is also just a few minutes drive. All in all, Illetas is an idyllic retreat suitable for couples and families who are looking for excellent accommodation in picturesque surroundings.
