Mouans Sartoux, in the department of Alpes-Maritimes, lies approximately ten kilometres inland from Cannes around halfway between Mougins and Grasse. The town is a reasonable size although has alovely old centre, with a beautifully shaded town square and tiny lanes with beautiful old buildings to explore. There are a few hotels, a dozen or so restaurants plus with a castle set in parkland which has modern sculpture installations by Gotffried Honegger. There is a colourful market on Thursdays and also a lovely 16th century chuch.
