Playa de la Arena
Playa de la Arena ('Sandy beach' in English) is a small resort situated on the south west coast of Tenerife. The resort offers a blue flag beach consisting of natural black sand from its volcanic origins. This beach is one of the finest beaches on the island. Although a small resort, Playa de la Arena has lots to offer, for those who enjoy exploring you will find plenty of small coves, steep hills and spectacular views. Also closeby are the amazing black cliffs of Los Gigantes. The resort also offers a wide range of restaurants, bars, shops and activities to suit all. Day trips could include a visit to Caesar's Palace, ideal for children with electronic games and special rides, Los Gigantes to view the black cliffs (the giants) or take part in a boat trip to spot whales and dolphins. For an alternative trip, a short drive away is where you will find the ashen badlands created by Mount Teide's last eruption in 1798. Playa de la Arena is an ideal base for your holiday due to the variety of activities and sights to suit everyone, whether they are in the resort itself or just a short drive away. This resort is particularly suited to those who want fun and relaxation out of their holiday.
