The journey through the countryside on the road to the south coast resort of Santo Tomas is a pleasure all of its own! The sweeping country road threads through what must be some of the most beautiful and typical Menorcan landscape you will encounter - olive groves, pine woods and the inevitable herds of Friesian cattle. Santo Tomas is an excellent choice for families being centred on the long beach of fine white sand which operates a flag system for safe bathing. There is also a pony club for youngsters based in the resort. Santo Tomas is backed by ancient pine forest and has plenty of small villages as well as the neighbouring resort of Son Bou within easy reach by car as is the beautiful and historic city of Ciutadella. There are a number of restaurants, shops and bars in what is an extremely well maintained family resort.
